Arrivals Terminal:

Southwest Airlines is perhaps the largest airline in the entire world that is considered low-cost.

This airline plays an important role at this airport since the LAX is one of its focus cities. Moreover, Southwest is ranked as the fourth largest airline at the LAX in terms of number of passengers brought in. This airline brings in an average of a little of 2.5 million passengers to the LAX!

These passengers are often greeted at Terminal 1 at the airport upon their arrival.

Departures Terminal:

The terminal that operates most of the flights of Southwest is Terminal 1. However, oftentimes, when the flight is headed to an international destination, the gates may be found at the B terminal, also dubbed the international terminal.

And so, while the check-in desks may be at Terminal 1, passengers may be transported to the B terminal after checking in. The process is not at all daunting, and commuting between terminals is free and doesn’t take more than a few minutes.
