Inter-terminal transportation
The most common way to move around between the main locations of the airport is by taking the LAX terminal shuttle.
This service travels between every terminal at the airport within minutes. The shuttle you should be looking out for is termed the A route. It operates on a non-stop basis, and it is even completely free of charge!
Additionally, there are also other buses that connect terminals which can be picked up at the TBIT, Terminal 3, and Terminal 2.
You can also get from the terminals to the parking lots, and back, using shuttle services of other routes.
LAX terminal connections
Yet another connection between the terminals is through walking! The LAX is a fun establishment that has a lot to offer, from a variety of restaurants to a cool observation deck, so taking a walk should be another fun activity at the airport.
You can walk between terminals 1, 2, and 3, and also between the rest of the terminals. However, getting between one side of the airport (housing terminals 1, 2, and 3), and the other side (housing the other six terminals) can only be done using a shuttle or a bus.
In terms of specifics, terminals 6, 7, and 8, have a designated corridor amongst them. Terminals 4, 5, and 6 are connected via tunnels. And lastly, terminals 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and B, have a fully prepared airside connection.
It should take less than ten minutes per terminal, so keep that in mind when planning your adventures between the terminals!
